These posts discuss various treatment options. Some options I have tried, others that have been suggested through various medical studies.

Mindfulness based therapy for fibromyalgia, CFS, and IBS - does it work?

Over 50% of Americans have trouble falling or staying asleep, and that number is even higher for those of us living with Fibromyalgia or CFS. There are a lot of little tricks people suggest for help with falling asleep. I've tried quite a few of them with typically little success. Melatonin … [Read more...]

How CBD oil improved my sleep

CBD Oil for Sleep Despite all of the improvements I've made over the last decade, sleep continued to be the one area I had the most trouble. I tried so many things, many of them helped for a while, but invariably it seemed like once my body got used to whatever supplement I was taking … [Read more...]

Epidural injections for chronic back pain

Back in 2013 I moved wrong and it sent me into such pain that I couldn't move to even pick up my phone. After five months of physical therapy, I was doing quite well again, but within just a couple of months of returning to "normal life" the pain was back; and, it continued to increase. The … [Read more...]

Too many medications for fibromyalgia don't work

Too many medications for fibromyalgia just don't work. There are so many medications for fibromyalgia, and while they all work for a small percentage of those living with the illness, too many don't work for the vast majority of those living with fibromyalgia. PEMF therapy for urinary incontinence

I've dealt with urinary incontinence for too long. I remember years ago my gyno asking me if I ever had any issues and I said yes, but then she never gave me any suggestions. Then a couple of years later I went for a visit and there was a NP in training that came in and asked a bunch of questions … [Read more...]

Can Visbiome Help me Create a Healthy Gut?

Last Updated: March 5, 2021

How I finally found a healthy gut with Visbiome

Like many with Fibromyalgia, I also live with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). I tend to swing between IBS-C and IBS-D. At least that was always the case until I finally found a probiotic that really worked. For months I would wake up every morning with watery stool, and often repeated occurrences … [Read more...]

Brain Boost to improve focus

One of the issues with fibromyalgia is that even when you have it under control, the smallest thing can knock you back onto the struggle bus. That's what happened with me this winter. I went from feeling great to fighting stomach issues that stole my energy and focus.  Last fall … [Read more...]

6 tips for dealing with light sensitivity

I am really sensitive to light, especially certain types of light...ok, never mind... all types of light. While living in my house (before I sold it), I struggled to find a way to light my living room that didn't aggravate that light sensitivity and set off migraines.  Moving into an RV … [Read more...]
