Why I started the Whole30 Yesterday

Last Updated: April 1, 2013

Because I need more willpower! Ok, that's why I started it at all, it's not why I started The Whole30 yesterday. I started it yesterday because starting something like that on April Fools Day just seemed like a bad idea.I know my diet is pretty damn clean compared to most people. I don't eat gluten … [Read more...]

I fired my Physical Therapist today. A few weeks ago I posted that the Pelvic Pain specialist I saw recommended that I do physical therapy for the abdominal pain and the vaginal pain I've been dealing with for a while. He suggested a particular PT place in my area that does the vaginal work. … [Read more...]

It’s a 3 juice kind of day

Last Updated: February 7, 2013

Purple People Eater Juice, Get Well Juice, Green JuiceYesterday was my first physical therapy appointment. The place in town that specializes in Fibromyalgia doesn't do pelvic wall therapy, so I went to the place that the Dr recommended. I've been there before, at least twice, prior to the … [Read more...]

Fibromyalgia and Pelvic Pain

Last Updated: January 26, 2013

So, I ran across this post in my email this morning. Not much info there, other than to say that chronic pelvic pain is another co-existing condition we may run into with Fibro. What she doesn't mention is one of the main causes of chronic pelvic pain that often goes undiagnosed.... Endometriosis. … [Read more...]

To Lupron or not to Lupron

Last Updated: January 9, 2013

Dr Drawing of twisted falopian tube & endo"I've never seen anything like it" is NOT what you want to have your Dr say to you regarding what they saw inside of you. Today I finally got to see my Gyno for the first time since my surgery. Ok, I saw her after my surgery, but I don't remember it. I'd … [Read more...]

What Exactly Is Your Diet?

Last Updated: May 6, 2012

I get this question a LOT. The other variation is "So you are doing the Paleo diet?". The answer, "no not really". I'm not really following any specific diet. I looked into the Paleo diet (as I posted here) and it is probably the closest thing to what I'm doing that currently exists, but no not … [Read more...]

The Juice Makes All the Difference!

Last Updated: January 30, 2012

As I posted in my last update, I missed a couple of days juicing last week while I was out of town. After the second day I found a brush to clean my juicer and got back on the wagon and what a difference it made!Immediately after having the "Immune Fruit Juice" I was feeling much better. And the … [Read more...]

Juicing Day 5 (No Problem!)

Last Updated: January 7, 2012

On the 5th Day of Juicing.... I woke up super early, thanks to some mice that have taken up residence right above my bedroom ceiling. I didn't actually get out of bed though until close to my usual time, when I fixed up another "green smoothie". I didn't follow a recipe really and just threw some … [Read more...]

Juicing Day 4 (It’s Getting Easier)

Last Updated: January 6, 2012

I think I made it through the hardest part and even that wasn't bad. I'm still feeling really good and at this point it seems almost easy. Making it two more days shouldn't be any big deal. I had to go and look up What to Expect When You Juice Fast. Even though I'd read it before I just wanted to … [Read more...]

Juicing Day 3

Last Updated: January 5, 2012

Day 3 started off a bit harder than the previous days. The first two days I really didn't even notice the lack of real food and one glass of juice was plenty to last me for quite a while. However, Day 3 I began my second glass of juice within two hours of my first. I also woke up with a headache. I … [Read more...]
