How Oska Pulse Helps Me Accomplish More

A couple of weeks ago I did something I didn't think I'd ever do again (I've had a lot of those moments in the last 6-8 months). What is it? You ask. I painted my bedroom, by myself. Top to bottom, all in one day. Even if I'd only done a small amount that still would have been amazing, especially if … [Read more...]

What Do You Know About Endometriosis?

Last Updated: April 14, 2017

What do you know about endometriosis?

I'm a little late for Endometriosis Awareness Month (March), but if you follow my blog and especially if you get my newsletters you know that I'm more than Aware of Endometriosis. Just a little over a month ago I had my third surgery for Endometriosis (and yes they've removed stuff every time … [Read more...]

Sometimes saying No isn’t an option

Last Updated: January 9, 2017

sometimes saying No isn't an option

Some of us (myself included) have a bad habit of saying yes way too much. We say yes without thinking, without checking our calendar, without really considering if saying yes is really the best thing for us (or even for the person we are saying yes to). The last few months have been a real … [Read more...]

5 Things I’ve learned about tough times

Last Updated: August 8, 2016

Tough times never last but tough people do.

I've been struggling a lot lately. It's not something I like to admit, I want to be strong and pretend everything is OK. But, the truth is that I've had a lot more bad days lately. It seems like about every third day I barely manage an hours worth of work before I'm just mentally and/or physically … [Read more...]

Besides My Diagnosis, I am…

Last Updated: May 9, 2016

Besides My Diagnosis

It's easy to get wrapped up and even lose our identity to our diagnosis. As women, especially, we often lose our identity to many things. Instead of the person we are, we become a wife, a mother, a caregiver, or a spoonie and forget all the other amazing aspects of who we are. The last couple of … [Read more...]

A-Z Blogger Survey

Last Updated: July 19, 2015

I ran across this survey over on Chronically Kristin's blog, so I thought I'd have some fun with it and share a little bit more about myself at the same time. Plus I'm crazy busy with school this month (one of those crazy 4 week classes) so it's making it harder to keep up with my blogging schedule, … [Read more...]

Ask Me Anything: Counting My Spoons

Last Updated: April 12, 2015

Ask me Anything

This post is filed as Inspiration Sunday, because I flat-out stole the idea from FibroGeek (with her permission, so I guess that's not really stealing). Over the last week or so I've posted out to Twitter and Facebook giving you the opportunity to ask me anything. @_chris_willis asks " I'm … [Read more...]

When Caregiving Roles are Reversed

Last Updated: March 15, 2015

This week my inspiration comes from my husband. Monday morning I woke up to find out that my husband had been awake and sick all night. Really SICK! He was fairly sure (and so was I once he told me) that it was his gallbladder. We headed to the doctor and he sent us to the ER. By Monday afternoon … [Read more...]

Long Days Ahead: Looking Forward to 2015

Last Updated: January 18, 2015

I've not had any time this week to even look at the internet so I don't have a typical "Sunday Inspiration" post to share. I thought that instead I would share a bit of an update on how I'm doing. My new schedule this semester is only two days a week, last week was the first full week of … [Read more...]

30 Things You May Not Know About My Invisible Illness

Last Updated: September 1, 2014

I've had this 30 Things meme started for months, and kept forgetting about it. I'm finally posting it as part of the September Headache Disorder blog carnival (hosted by The Daily Headache). Also, Sept 8-14 is Invisible Illness Week, another good reason to share this. 1. The illness(es) I live … [Read more...]
