Day 2 went by pretty easy until Paul came home and I had to smell his chicken cooking in the oven (chicken that I cooked for him). It smelled so good! That says a lot since I’ve been “over” chicken for quite a while. However, I made it through another day of juicing and all in all it was maybe a little easier than the first day; aside from the chicken I wasn’t really tempted by anything.
One good thing about juicing is that it’s getting me back into the mindset of actually preparing meals again rather than just taking the easy way out (frozen meals or grabbing what’s handy). While we do typically eat dinner at home it’s usually pretty simple (and will likely stay that way) with chicken (usually grilled) and fresh veggies. But, perhaps I will start cooking more again after this is over.
Breakfast yesterday was Kale-apples-pomagranate-kiwi juice, which also served as lunch and snack juice. Dinner was tomato-celery-carrot, heated with a little salt and oregano (tasted like tomato soup). I know heating removes some of the nutrients, but I really just needed something warm, as it’s been really cold here the last couple of days. I’m pretty sure there was one other glass of juice in there somewhere yesterday but I can’t recall what it was.
I’m still fighting this cold, and while on one hand I think it’s making the juicing easier as it’s cutting my appetite. on the other hand, I think it’s increasing my fatigue.

Hi there… I did a Juice diet a couple of months ago and blogged about each day and how it was affecting me. Ultimately I don’t think it was beneficial to me except that my fingernails became stronger and shinier LOL… Good Luck!
