The Cleaner Way to IBS Around

Last Updated: May 26, 2016

Luxe Bidets and Cleaning up the IBS Mess

IBS sucks. Whether it's IBS-C or IBS-D or some combination of the two, it's no fun either way. I live with the combination kind. It will swing over to constipation for a while then it will swing back to diahrea for a while and usually lives in some strange land in between, where I never feel like … [Read more...]

Examining the overlap between fibromyalgia and IBS

I have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and I wouldn't be surprised at all if you told me that you do as well. My Experience with Esophageal Manometry

Last Updated: July 10, 2015

What's it like to experience a 24 hour pH study?

I don't know if it was because of … [Read more...]

Bidet Done That: Cleaning Up the IBS Mess

bidet attachment

If you'd mentioned a bidet to me a year ago, I'd have probably smiled and nodded while thinking "That's just weird". Actually, that's still about what I thought when two of my best friends returned from a European vacation and ordered a bidet for their home toilet. I nodded thinking "yeah, ok. I … [Read more...]

My experience with anal manometry

Last Updated: May 5, 2014

Anal-Rectal Mamometry

It's not every day that I get to wear "moon pants" so that someone can stick a probe up my butt, but that's just what I did last week. That probe was actually part of an anal manometry test. In the continuing saga of abdominal pain and other IBS related issues, I headed back to my GI … [Read more...]
