When You Hit Rock Bottom You Have Two Choices

Last Updated: June 8, 2014

The good thing about rock bottom is you have two options. You can lie in the filth you created and quit. That was never an option for me. The other: there is only one way out, and that is up! - cdmitchell, the stories behind the stories. This quote struck home for me. I've been there - at rock … [Read more...]

We are all fighting battles that no one knows anything about

"We are truly all fighting battles no one knows anything about." Everyone is fighting an invisible battle. It may not be illness, mental, or physical. It may just be the demons left-over from a rough child-hood. It may be any number of things, but we are all dealing with something. This post from … [Read more...]

Getting help with controlling negative thoughts

After letting the chronic pain and related issues drag me down the last three months I decided I finally had enough and had to do something. Fibromyalgia Nerve Connection

Last Updated: July 8, 2013

I'm really happy to see more and more studies being done on Fibromyalgia lately. Granted some haven't had wonderful outcomes, like the recent Dutch study that claimed that there was no connection between weather and how those of us with Fibromyalgia feel. That particular study was met with a … [Read more...]

Why I’m No Longer Reading The “Cure” Books

Last Updated: November 15, 2011

There are a million books on "How to Cure Your Fibro" out there and every one of them has a different answer. Sometimes it's someone who "had" Fibro that suddenly found a cure via changing their diet, and most of the time it's some Dr who has come up with the "right" answer to end all our suffering. … [Read more...]

Symptoms Vs Side Effects

Last Updated: July 21, 2011

sometimes it's hard to know the difference between the symptoms and the side effects

Thanks to the number of meds that we take for Fibro it's often hard to tell if something "new" is a symptom of our Fibro or a side effect of a new med. Even harder when you know you've been dealing with that symptom since before the med was introduced, yet it seems to be getting worse. Recently, … [Read more...]

Viibryd for depression

Viibryd for depression So about 10 days ago I finally had my appointment with the Psychiatrist to see what could be done about this major case of depression I've been under for the last 3 months. My GP had given me a script for Welbutrin to try in the meantime and while it did help a little, it … [Read more...]

Your Pain Comes From a Futile Search For What You Want - NOPE

"All your pain comes simply from a futile search for what you want, insisting it must be found outside you."   I just saw this posted on a "friend's" Facebook wall. I put "friend" in quotes because we really were never more than online acquaintances. He's now been removed from my friend's … [Read more...]
