Treatment

These posts discuss various treatment options. Some options I have tried, others that have been suggested through various medical studies.

Successful TMJ Treatment Long Term

Last Updated: August 30, 2013

This week marks 5 years of dealing with TMJ. Well, actually 5 years and about 2 months since the pain started, but 5 years since I found out what the problem was and found someone who could actually help me. That someone is Dr. H. Clifton Simmons in Nashville, TN. While Fibromyalgia has been a … [Read more...]

Wednesday afternoon: Migraines have been an issue for me for a very long time. I have just about every "type" of migraine you can find, including what is listed as rather rare - The Cluster Migraine. Most of the time, I can tolerate them and/or they don't stick around in such a way that drastically … [Read more...]

Is Juicing Right For Me?

Last Updated: March 4, 2013

How long have you been juicing? I began juicing in January of 2012.  What Juicer do you have? I have the Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain. I had used my mom's Jack Lalaine juicer for a few days, prior to purchasing my own. I wasn't happy with how difficult it was to clean the Jack Lalaine or how … [Read more...]

Tips for Preparing for Laproscopy

Tips for preparing for laparoscopic surgery

I was totally unprepared for my first Laparoscopic surgery to look for endometriosis. Between the pre-surgical paperwork I'd received and my own memories of having my gallbladder out, I really didn't expect it to be a big deal. When I had my gallbladder out, I'd been having SO MUCH pain that the … [Read more...]

To Lupron or not to Lupron

Last Updated: January 9, 2013

Dr Drawing of twisted falopian tube & endo"I've never seen anything like it" is NOT what you want to have your Dr say to you regarding what they saw inside of you. Today I finally got to see my Gyno for the first time since my surgery. Ok, I saw her after my surgery, but I don't remember it. I'd … [Read more...]

Food Sensitivity Testing

Last Updated: January 12, 2012

I got the results back from the food allergy/sensitivity test that I had done a few weeks ago and ...go figure... very little showed up. The sensitivity scale goes up 6 notches and I barely fall into the first level for dairy, whey, whole wheat & eggs. I think whey was probably the highest of … [Read more...]

Avoiding the Energy Vampires

Last Updated: November 8, 2011

One of the great joys (sic) of dealing with Fibro that I've personally found is the energy vampires. Groups of people will often suck the energy out of me and leave me feeling just dead in no time flat, but sometimes it only takes one person. There are certain types of people who seem to suck the … [Read more...]
