Since I started back to school this summer, we've talked a lot about how much I can handle. The first couple of weeks of my summer class were all about me getting used to having this new responsibility / schedule on my plate. All the while, I was debating whether to add a second summer class during … [Read more...]

Thank You Dr. Obvious

Last Updated: January 18, 2014

This was the result of my visit to the doctor yesterday. Supposedly this was an orthopedic doctor that I'd seen six years ago for my tennis elbow, however he did not seem remotely familiar and the guy I saw six years ago was at least somewhat empathetic and helpful. This appointment was just a … [Read more...]

Laproscopy Incisions -Where are they?

Last Updated: July 15, 2013

I've commented in several places that I believe my recovery was a lot easier this time, not only due to the experience of the surgeon, but also because of WHERE he made the incisions. This was my third laproscopic surgery (the first was in 2008 to remove my gallbladder), and it was by far my … [Read more...]

Given that I'd already cut out most of the foods that aren't allowed in the Whole 30, this should be an easy month. The problem is that I have a thing for Tacos. Actually, giving up the "added sugar" is an easier part of the Whole 30 for me than giving up corn. Here's the list of what you are … [Read more...]

Last Updated: April 2, 2013

tuna & carrots for lunch & nutsThis was my lunch today (Day 3). Day 2 went by pretty uneventfully. However, I can't say I didn't stray at all. I did add a packet of raw sugar to my coffee. I'm really trying to get to where I can drink it totally black (but it's hard). I was thinking that I'd … [Read more...]
