These posts share various tips and tricks I have found for dealing with life as I live it, whether it's related to Fibromyalgia, diet, juicing, treatment, or just life, in general.

Give a Gluten-Free Gift with Send Me Gluten Free

Last Updated: November 13, 2015

If you've been around here long and/or paying attention you know that I eat gluten-free. I found that avoiding gluten greatly improved my pain levels and fatigue. I generally try to avoid a lot of processed foods but with the crazy school schedule I've found that convenience has to win sometimes. … [Read more...]

Sootheze Toasty Collars – A warm hug from a pet

Last Updated: November 6, 2015

My husband saw this little critter hanging out in our living room and his comment was "I like that cat better than the other two." If you are like me and you love cats you might like this one better two. Unlike my other two fickle felines that only want to give me attention when they want something … [Read more...]

A couple of weeks ago I shared my review of the new book, The Patient's Playbook: Saving Your Life and the Lives of Those You Love. Review: The Patient’s Playbook – How to Save Your Life and the Lives of Those You Love

That's what happened when I saw The Patient's Playbook by Leslie D. Michelson show up in my Amazon Vine queue. … [Read more...]

Choose Your Own Adventure

Last Updated: June 28, 2015

When we think of life with chronic illness we don't often think of having a choice. We are stuck with this illness, we didn't choose it. If we could choose, we certainly wouldn't choose to be sick, we wouldn't choose the uncertainty that comes with chronic illness. But, we do have choices and a … [Read more...]

The Complete Guide to Turmeric

Last Updated: May 1, 2015

I'm a big fan of Turmeric for pain relief. Thanks to some ulcers a few years back I can no longer take NSAID pain relievers (Advil, Aleve), and sadly the pain I have often doesn't respond to other pain medications. The problems I've had in my shoulder are a great example. We still have no idea what … [Read more...]

Last Updated: April 19, 2015

Have you ever thought about fibromyalgia as a puzzle to solve? Often we think of fibromyalgia as one big thing and as a result we look for one big solid answer, But perhaps the answer is really more of a puzzle with many pieces that need to be fit together.
