Sootheze Toasty Collars – A warm hug from a pet

Last Updated: November 6, 2015

Welcome! It looks like you might be new here, so I wanted to take a moment to tell you a little about me and my blog. My name is Julie Ryan and I live with Fibromyalgia. I've chosen to live positively, to fight back with diet and lifestyle changes and it's made a huge difference for me. The difference between living all my days in bed, and actually LIVING. I hope you'll keep reading and subscribe to my Newsletter to make sure you don't miss a post. Thanks for visiting!

*BTW, just a heads up that the post below may have affiliate links (some of my posts do).

Welcome back! I'm so glad that you are here again. If you've not already, be sure to subscribe to my Newsletter and I'll update you each time I post (and occasionally I'll send you something special).

Just a heads up that the post below may have affiliate links.

sootheze toasty collar and meMy husband saw this little critter hanging out in our living room and his comment was “I like that cat better than the other two.” If you are like me and you love cats you might like this one better two. Unlike my other two fickle felines that only want to give me attention when they want something this one will give me a warm (or cold) hug whenever I need it.

This little guy is one of the many Sootheze Toasty Collars that can be used as a hot/cold pack around your neck and shoulders. I enjoy mine as a warm collar mostly. The great thing about these guys is that they have seams in all the right places so that the filling is distributed evenly.

If you are like me and need something for warmth to relax muscles and relieve pain, you’ll want to use heat this guy up in the microwave. A quick 30 seconds per side should be enough, but if it’s not you just run it an extra 10 seconds at a time until he’s warm enough. If you need cold for your inflammatory pain then you’ll want to pop this guy in the freezer (probably in a ziplock or some other sealed bag) for at least 2 hours.

I’ve had other stuffed pals similar to this but one feature that really sets this one apart is the Velcro that allows your Sootheze Pal to hang around your neck without fear of it falling off.

A big Thank You to Sootheze for sending me this Scruffy Cat collar to try out.

Hi Julie – one other question regarding this product, which I really would like to order. Is it lightweight? I have several different moist heat, microwaveable gizmos for pain in this area, but I find that the filling contents are too heavy. Heat helps me a lot, so I’ve been searching for an option like these – I love the velcro feature! – thanks for the feedback, and always for your great suggestions and honest reviews. Jo-D

it doesn’t seem heavy to me and I know what you mean. I have a neck collar that is really heavy, but this doesn’t even come close. It weighs about what you’d expect from looking at it.

I hope you enjoy it! something about them just make me smile when they are wrapped around me. So much sweeter than a “normal” neck wrap.
