This week I went for allergy tests. After spending the last year or two on allergy meds and the last several months either using two nasal sprays a day or spending full days in never-ending sneezing fits, I wanted to know if there was something in my environment that I could remove or avoid in order to make things better.
The Results: I’m not allergic to anything, well nothing except two types of mold spores (one indoor and one outdoor). The allergist basically told me that I’m just sensitive to smells and other things in the environment, but I’m not allergic.
This seems to be the going thing with Fibro. The Drs never really see anything that they can explain, it just is. The good Drs “get it”. They realize that this patient has Fibro and therefore just because they can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not there. That would be my eye Dr. Other Drs just blow us off since they can’t see anything there must not be anything really wrong. Perhaps it’s all in our head. It’s definitely not that we want to be on more meds, good lord knows I’m on enough already.
Fibromyalgia in general is over-sensitive nerves, but it seems to extend to just about every part of our body, our sinuses, food sensitivities, light, noise, etc. Adrienne Dellwo even did a poll on her site about this issue to get an idea of what things we are most sensitive to with Fibro.

Seems like anything could be from Fibromyalgia. But, I’d suggest asking your doctor about it.
